Lead “waddler” classes of 10-18 children. Collaborate with my assistant teacher and manage her day-to-day responsibilities. Write lessons plans and develop age appropriate projects to achieve developmental milestones. Monitor safety, read books, sing songs, allow free play and manage circle time. Serve meals and snacks to kids with a variety of allergies, dietary restrictions, and palates. Provide opportunities to be independent (guiding table manners by sitting in chairs, eating off of plates). Promoted from Assistant Teacher after first year.

Taught two, three, and four year old classes. Supervised play in organized room zones: fine motor skills (pegs, puzzles), creation (painting, drawing), manipulation (blocks, cars), housekeeping (kitchen, dress up), reading rug, etc. Emphasized outdoor play and taking walks.

Then, a small pre-school with only five classes, taught Threes. Enjoyed Shabbat sing-a-longs. Commended for incorporating singing kid-friendly songs. Built strong relationships with teachers, parents, and management. Changed kids and helped to overcome fears of swimming.

Learned quickly. Promoted from supervising lunchroom to helping create a calming naptime, reading stories, and assisting teachers with a variety of activities.
