Ik deed diepgaand onderzoek naar fysieke activiteit, sedentair gedrag en fysieke fitheid en hun relatie naar gezondheid toe (bloeddruk, diabetes, obesitas, ...). Samenwerking met verschillende partners, zowel onderzoeksmatig als beleidsmatig, was noodzakelijk om de valorisatie tot een goed eind te brengen.Tijdens mijn onderzoek stond ik in voor praktijkgerichte lessen in de opleiding Master Bewegingswetenschappen optie Fysieke activiteit, Fitheid en Gezondheid. Als praktijk assistent groepslessen doceerde ik de basis van step aerobic, body pump, aquafitness en figuurtraining. Verder doceerde ik ook de practica cardiotraining en gastcolleges binnen fysieke activiteit en epidemiologie.
