• Provide culturally-competent career, educational, and short-term personal counseling.• Provide counseling services that reflect the needs of the campus and support the college mission.• Provide crisis intervention to individuals and/or groups of students.• Provide career guidance to prospective and enrolled students.• Teach College Strategies and Culminating Project courses.• Facilitate High School and Beyond Plan activity to satisfy high school graduation requirements.• Work with faculty, staff, parents, and students to identify general learning needs for students to be successful in achieving educational goals; support faculty and students in efforts to achieve those goals.• Serve as campus resource to faculty, staff, and students in areas of counseling, learning styles, and conflict resolution.• Create, maintain, analyze data related to student retention and the achievement gap.• Follow disciplinary procedures as prescribed and deal consistently and fairly with all students.• Maintain case notes and counseling files.• Evaluate and interpret standardized tests and assessment instruments.• Participate in professional staff activities and committees, such as Instructional Council.• Participate in self-improvement and professional development activities in fields related to school counseling.• Develop and maintain community resources for student referral.• Develop strategies and increase awareness to foster and support cultural diversity and non-discrimination• Work with all high school programs including the Academy, Gateway to College, Running Start etc.
