EBIMed is the Biomedical Engineering Junior Enterprise of FCT-NOVA (Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the New University of Lisbon). It is a non-profit organization whose mission is to connect the students at FCT NOVA, (who will soon become engineers) with the reality of the Healthcare & MedTech industries. EBIMed does this through projects and partnerships with companies, clinics and hospitals that are then developed by its associates. Every project is challenging and the goal is to create affordable, innovative, high-tech solutions for these entities. The teams are multidisciplinary, with a high range of interests and capacities. Girls in Tech is a project that aims to promote the dialogue between young girls in High School and girls currently in University, in different courses and degrees, about what it means studying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths).
