Co-producer and company manager for Fresh Act Productions, the producing company for the semi-annual Fresh Act Play Festival at SUNY New Paltz.Fresh Act is produced, directed, performed, designed, and occasionally written by students at SUNY New Paltz. Towards the beginning of every semester directors propose scenes that are 10 minutes or shorter. Once the producers have chosen the scenes for the semester, auditions are held where the directors cast their scenes. Throughout the semester directors work with their cast culminating in the Fresh Act Play Festival, a performance open to the public towards the end of each semester.Responsibilities include: fielding, reviewing and selecting piece submissions for the festival; running auditions for the festival; advising directors throughout the rehearsal process; writing and presenting for space use through Student Activities and Union Services and the School of Fine and Performing Arts, and funding requests through NP Student Association; coordinating actors, directors and technicians for rehearsals and prop/furniture selection; publicity and program creation; running cue-to-cue; stage management for show nights.
