Leros, Southern Aegean, Greece

Project Coordinator reporting directly to Founder/CEO. Duties & Achievements:• Re-organized the activities of ECHO Leros Hub, an educational and community centre for asylum seekers; planned the COVID-19 preventive system; oversaw the daily functioning of the HUB;• Supervised and coordinated a team of 15 people with high turnover (scheduling, operations programming, training of new volunteers);• Manage ECHO100PLUS emergency response to the spread of COVID-19 in the refugee camp and the conditions imposed by the lockdowns. Among others, organized and coordinated 4 emergency NFIs distributions (COVID-19 PPEs and clothes) inside the camp in collaboration with the local authorities and IOs on the ground. Covered the needs of 1400 people;• Standardized the logistics system of clothes and hygiene items storage and distribution (re-organized the storage and designed an inventory system on Excel);• Directed two fundraising campaigns on the @GlobalGiving Platform for COVID-19 emergency and Giving Tuesday. Raised 83,000$ in total. Given the success, I presented our fundraising strategy at the Global Giving Online Fundraising Academy to all the other organizations using the platform;• Managed relations with partners and donors. Contracted a donation of 12,000 FPP2 maks by Volt Europe; • Developed a digital communication strategy for ECHO100PLUS' social media and new website. Engagement on Facebook increased by 280% at peak and Instagram average engagement increased by 40%.

I supported RAYS initiative of providing treatment, care and support services to HIV affected and infected children in Rajasthan. Duties & achievements:• Regularly organized educational and recreational activities, spacing from Hindi to English language learning games to art workshops for vulnerable children;• Managed a fundraising campaign to sponsor my activities and buy useful items for the house (raised 1,000$)• Expanded RAYS' digital communication strategies;• Promoted a partnership between RAYS and the American Institute of Indian Studies to expand the volunteers' network.

Worked for two months as M&E assistant to support PCCED's mission of strengthening civic education as a means to promote democratic processes. In the province of Bohol, PCCED works with teachers, youth leaders, local authorities, civil society groups, and all civic educators to strengthen civic education in schools, empower local authorities and civil society groups in order to engage in ‘shared governance', and create more effective platforms for citizen participation in local governance. In addition, after the 2013 7.2 magnitude earthquake, PCCED assisted affected communities in shelter construction and repair. Accomplishments & duties:• Modelled a research survey to measure attitudes towards democracy and democratic values in the Philippines;• Reported evaluations to funding institution (Zabalketa, Agencia Vasca, Cáritas Gipuzkoa, Muskiz Udala, Ayuntamiento de Irun and Getxo);• Evaluated PCCED projects in Bohol. Interviewed local partners and projects’ beneficiaries and inspected projects on the ground;• Facilitated the organization of BARANGAY RULE OF LAW (BRLS) project;• Published articles on PCCED’s website and social media.
