As a communications specialist my goal is to continue to learn how I can connect and provide information through a company to promote an idea or product. I have been able to obtain over 40 hours of internship experience through marketing firms in the Binghamton area my senior year of high school through Broome-Tioga BOCES. Through these internships I learned about sales, analytics through sales and the importance to team work in a company. These experiences have lead me to my current job with Broome-Tioga BOCES for there summer S.T.E.A.M and C.T.E programs. I observe students ages 6-13 participating in fun interactive activities to help strengthen the students interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (S.T.E.A.M) and possible future careers (such as construction, electrical, cooking and autobody work (Career Tech education). My job specifically is to show parents and school districts what there students are learning at these camps through different social media platforms. I have learned how to use analytics from each post to improve on how I can reach my direct target market, this is a great way for school districts and parents to see what BOCES can provide students!
