Since April 2022, I have proudly held the position of Artistic Director at Tjarnarbio Theatre, Iceland's renowned home for Independent Performance Groups. It gives me immense pleasure to share that this past year has been our most successful to date, with record-breaking attendance and an unprecedented number of delighted guests.My journey in the world of theater began at the young age of sixteen when I immersed myself in the vibrant realm of an independent theater. For a decade, I dedicated myself to conducting theater workshops for teenagers, gradually climbing the ladder from humble floor cleaner to an invaluable member of the creative team as an Assistant Director. Throughout my career, I have fostered a deep passion for leadership and take great joy in inspiring the groups I collaborate with, driving them towards shared goals and embracing innovative solutions.Having explored various roles within the Performance Arts industry—including Director, Singer, Actress, Voice Artist, Playwright, Project Manager—I have now embraced the pivotal role of Artistic Director. I truly believe that cultivating a safe, positive, and joyful environment is essential to fostering the most exceptional artistic creations.In pursuit of expanding my expertise in experience design, an area close to my heart, I have undertaken a concurrent degree in interior design. This endeavor enables me to augment my skill set and further contribute to the art of crafting memorable experiences for our audience members, our artists and my staff.
