Books and catalogues, we made a couple, a.o.: 'Ridders in de Bijlmer' (Knights in Bijlmer) is a 360-page hard cover book about the history of De Bijlmermeer area of Amsterdam from an Urban Planner’s perspective: Evert van Voskuilen. A story, in words and images, about the early reclamation of polders, bloody conflicts between knights, dukes and clergymen and the creation of a New Town: De Bijlmermeer.Work by Vinger.nl for gemeente Amsterdam stadsdeel Zuidoost: visual concept, graphic design, DTP, image & text editing and image research, selection and clearance (2014)'Puwema Peti' (Source of Poetry) is a 64-page selection of texts by fourteen writers and artists commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Dutch abolition of slavery, by giving shape to this historical and cultural heritage in the form of personal stories, poems, lyrics and tales.Work by Vinger.nl for Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam: visual concept, graphic design, DTP, text & image editing and print management (2014)'Een Reis om de Wereld in Achttien Verhalen' (Around the World in Eighteen Stories) is a 140-page book combining travel notes and images of 18 Anthropology students doing field research around the globe. Some campaigns we’ve done:In 2014 Hoekenrode, the square between shopping centre Amsterdamse Poort and train station Bijlmer-ArenA, was renovated and transformed into an open square packed with terraces. For the festive opening the city of Amsterdam & production house Meneer de Leeuw commissioned Vinger.nl to design a visual identity and produce all applications: décor, signing, project website, invitations, ads and so on. In addition we created a life-size outdoor photo exhibition portraying 25 different types of users of the square. The OPEN ART ROUTE is a yearly midsummer art weekend presenting 150+ artists and many extras in Amsterdam South-East. From 2013 through 2015 we delivered a total redo of the brand and it’s communications. We set out by developing a rebranding concept & strategy that combines quality and fun, presenting participating artists in a professional manor and inviting a broad public to enjoy their local art scene. We created a new dynamic visual identity, applied it to a broad set of promotional on- & offline means and personalised it for all participating artists. The interactive project website was key to the media-mix, offering a full programme overview and a database with 150+ portfolios. Inspired by the quantity of attractive content we also developed the module ‘My OPEN ART ROUTE’, which allows visitors to make their own selection from the programme and navigate the festival on site. Burgernet is a Dutch digital platform that enables citizens to contribute to the safety and security of their direct environment by sharing alarms and information on a local level. In 2013 we got commissioned by Amsterdam Zuidoost to produce an AV campaign to stimulate a higher level of local awareness about the mission and function of Burgernet. By producing a series of stylish short clips featuring local people telling real stories, the campaign naturally emitted a local tone of voice getting the message across effectively.

There are few Hip Hop legends that have not been captured by the lens of Ilja Meefout. We invited him to create his first solo exhibition with us. A selection of his most iconic images of the past 10 years came together in ‘Backstage’, a unique exhibition. Vinger.nl: concept, strategy, creative direction, project development & management, production & promotion - 2009,2013,2014,2015‘PRESENT FOREVER, 55 Contemporary Dutch Artists‘ was a large-scale exhibition compiled for FATFORM by Ad de Jong, Manuel Klappe and Daniela Bershan. 55 artists showed their latest work on the multiple, spiraling floors of a parking lot in De Bijlmer and together created a unique visual experience. Vinger.nl: strategy, project management, production & promotion (2012)‘The Bijlmer Spinoza Festival’ was Thomas Hirschhorn’s 3rd Presence & Production artwork in public space. A sculpture based on Spinoza’s book Ethics also functioning as a pavilion hosting lectures and debates, radio and television broadcasts, workshops, daily performances of the Spinoza play, a Spinoza museum and library, a Bijlmer documentation centre, an internet corner and a bar. Vinger.nl: production & post-production TV broadcasts (2009)THE GO-BETWEEN is an ongoing curatorial project of Appel Arts Centre that explores process-based ways of working. In 2006 it got started in De Bijlmer, an intriguing place for contemporary cultural reflection due to its particular architectural history of utopian city planning and to the dynamics of immigration that have shaped its identity and image over the past 40 years. Some Artwork for music by Vinger.nl:Macsen Apollo is an MC from the Bay Area (US) who has made a name for himself through his long-time rap career. We invited him for a residency period in Amsterdam that resulted in ‘The Apollo Project’ (2014). In coop with producers team Raven Bros. we made an EP with five new Hip Hop tracks featuring local and international artists. Initiative & album artwork by Vinger.nl.‘Reconnect & Record’ (2014) is a project by Breathing and Erasmushuis. Composer/guitarist Orville Breeveld (NL) & composer/pianist Sri Hanuraga (ID) selected a group of exceptional Dutch and Indonesian artists, creating new compositions together and performing a tour through Jakarta & Bogor. Vinger.nl came with to document and promote the project resulting in a series of visuals (graphics and photography), music videos and vlogs.Triggafinga Intl is a sound system and one of the best dub-plate agencies around. Beyond providing dub-plates and drops they recorded artists like Sizzla, Konshens, Burro Banton, Pinchers, Mr. Perfect and Reggie Stepper. Vinger.nl created a new visual identity and produced a wide range of applications (2014). Bunny Rugs is a Reggae legend and better known as the lead-singer of the Jamaican Reggae band Third World. Our mutual friend Tim de Wreede, founder of Sensiriti Sound, created the occasion for us to work with him. We were honoured to direct, shoot and cut a promotional film for Bunny’s solo album ‘TIME’ (2012) and a music video for his redition of the track ‘A House is not a Home’ (2011).In 2009 Dutch Hip Hop pioneer Deams launched an EP titled ‘The Legacy’. The release marked the longtime expected return of this old school MC, featuring artists like DJ Premier, Big Daddy Kane, Jeru the Damaja, Chuck D, Ice T and De La Soul. Vinger.nl directed, shot and cut show visuals and a promotional film. For the show visuals we started early 2008 to be able to film with all featuring artists to virtually include them in the live show.

Stichting Open Ateliers Zuidoost (OAZO) pursues a dynamic and innovative art climate in De Bijlmer (Amsterdam South-East) by making affordable workspaces available for artists, by programming public projects and programmes and by collaborating with other cultural organizations for almost three decades now. Over these last few years we've been working on the optimization of the organization as well as the rebranding of OAZO. A comprehensive job ranging from concept and strategy to the development and execution of public art programmes like the local Open Art Route and the international Artist in Residence. Also internally we upgraded the workflow, team and tools for OAZO to be able to operate in a lean & mean fashion and continue to create the best possible conditions and infrastructures for artists in De Bijlmer now and for years to come. The Amsterdam Fund for Art (AFK) works with Culture Scouts bridging the gaps. They promote possibilities for funding among local artists and stay on top of the latest local trends and developments. De Cultuurverkenners van het Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst (AFK) slaan een brug tussen het fonds en de Amsterdamse (buiten)wijken door makers te adviseren over mogelijkheden voor financiering en het fonds op de hoogte te houden van de laatste ontwikkelingen en trends in de buurt. FATFORM is an art initiative by Fffuck.org & Vinger.nl that run from 2010 through 2012. We build and offered an artist-run and flexible platform where (Art) objects, performances, cultures, genres, feelings and opinions could circulate in all their radicality. Due to experimental and international cross programming all possible forms of expression came together in a parking garage in De Bijlmermeer (Amsterdam South-East). With this ‘clash’ of worlds makers and audiences from very diverse fields and backgrounds were encouraged to meet and exchange.
