Film producer since 1991 - through the years based out of LA, Singapore and Denver.Currently located in Germany. Sara Meyer is a filmmaker with Lava Lamp Films. She’s passionate about making change in the world - helping people to find hope and meaningful connections. The current Adieu Film Project focuses on mental health - bringing hope to those who are struggling and modeling how suicide survivors can move forward in their lives. Sara began her career as a dancer, singer, and actress in musical theatre in Chicago and across the U.S, performing in shows, such as the Broadway hit 42nd Street. Turning from the stage to on-camera, she acted in television commercials and industrial films throughout the Midwest. After an unforgettable trip to the Philippines in the late 1980’s, she and her husband James Meyer began making documentary films in Asia, Africa and India, relocating to Singapore and filming in more than 75 countries. In 2006 they founded GemStone Media in Germany, an international production company specializing in producing positive, uplifting films. Sara and team have produced more than 60 videos and films, including The Kingdom and The Traveler. Now she’s on to the next big adventure with Lava Lamp Films and the Adieu film project.
