Hello Hello Hello!I've met many of you in my time... from working in Iceland and Tescos, to my famous stint on Shiprecked (I was so close to making it) and then onwards with my entrepreneur days of selling Cakes, , Running Pop up Tearooms, Tennis Courts Social Media and Pubs/Restaurants. Then in 2022 I fell sick...I was told i have a cystic brain tumour in my pineal gland. It's affected me my whole adult life because it was first noted I had it back in 2001, but recorded as an incidental find as it was under 5mm. So incidental NOBODY TOLD ME. 13 year old me never knew. And only found out years later going through my medical records.In 2023 i had a MRI and there it was, same place as 2001 just alot bigger... On Monday of last week I saw a Neuro Surgeon for a third opinion of my tumour because I'd been deteriorating and didn't understand why if it really was benign. We were all aware the tumour was degenerative as had grown from 9mm to almost 14mm through growth scans, and my next growth scan was on November 27th 2024. However what we did not know was that in the latest scan it was clearly visible to Professor Charlie Teo that the aqueduct has been comprised and was causing intermittent CFS fluid build up and hypertension. He finally offered me the operation I'd been waiting for. As funding in the UK has now been withdrawn unless you have severe risk to life, he is offering to come to the UK and opperate free of charge and waive his normal clinical fee. All he requires is for a UK neurosurgeon to invite him to come and teach his practices with temporary clinical privaliges.A page has been set up on go fund me page to raise the 10k we need to cover his expenses of flights, accommodation as well as my aftercare. Charlie's nearest clinic is Madrid and would cost £50k if I can't get him here. There are cheaper alternatives like Gernany and Praugue but both mean raising more money than the £10k I would like to have this done in the UK. We are then also founding a charity called The Sara's Hope Trust with any money remaining to help other pineal paitents in the UK with their own Pineal cysts and tumours to help get them better too.
