The College Student Congress is a program for students interested in public policy, diplomacy and leadership with an emphasis on bipartisanship. The program selects fifty-one undergraduates, representing each state and D.C. to come together on different policy areas and compromise on dedicated solutions. This year's congress was concerned with the Urban/Rural divide, with my group focused on the adverse effects of climate change in those areas. Although the conference was held remotely, I am so grateful for the opportunity to have connected and worked closely with such dedicated, passionate and wonderful students. - Awarded Most Outstanding Team Member for Climate Change policy group

Tufts University Tisch Summer Fellowship in the Jumpstart Policy and Government Relations Department- Collaborated on research projects regarding federal work study, child care and COVID-19 early childhood education policies- Drafted policy briefs from attendance at coalition and congressional meetings held virtually- Supported social media and telecommunication outreach to Congressional leaders regarding Jumpstart policy initiatives- Assisted in the technical launch of an AmeriCorps website for Jumpstart resources- Attended Tisch Summer Fellow mentorship collaboration meetings and resource meetings on topics such as international work, legal careers and education-based work opportunities as part of the Tisch College fellowship

- Contributed to ongoing research into Boston COVID-19 policies as part of the office's constituent outreach- Attended and wrote briefs on various council and gubernatorial meetings to aid in office outreach and policy development- Completed a policy proposal regarding the negative effects on women's reproductive health care during the early months of COVID-19 pandemic, which was presented to Councilor At-Large Flaherty. The policy of permanently labeling women's reproductive health care as "essential" during further surges of COVID-19 or future pandemics with sufficient and available PPE is currently being taken into next steps towards application; this policy would make Boston the first city in the country to protect women's care in this way.
