The Senior Benefit Analyst position assists with planning and implementing new benefit policies and programs to maintain a market competitive benefits program, aiming to achieve a competitive benefits program to meet the needs of employees. This role involves being a leader for the benefits team, overseeing team resources, vendor management, process improvements and overall project management for daily and large scale projects. This position requires current knowledge and experience over legal and regulatory developments that impact employee benefit plans, staying up to date with emerging legislative, social and business trends and changes. A main goal of the position is to achieve ongoing professional development of team members by use of cross training, ongoing education and guidance.

The Benefits Analyst position is responsible for day to day operations of the benefits departments. Tasks include assisting employees on enrolling and maintaining benefit plans and elections, managing internal and external business partner relations, and serves as a resource to HR and management for benefit questions and issues. Analyze and process invoices, vendor reports and payroll reporting. Responsible for creating monthly invoices for company benefit programs, quarterly HIPAA training and testing as well as completing annual compliances including 1095c, Medicare notices and non-discrimination testing.

This position was responsible for the company's Education Reimbursement Program including counseling employees and overseeing the process from enrollment to graduation. Tasks included data entry into SAP for employee benefits, COBRA, retirement, education, etc. and processing initial open enrollment forms, opt out letters and National Medical Support Notices.
