Sara is an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for sustainable food systems and farmers markets across the United States and Latin America. With backgrounds in Spanish, Psychology, Natural Resources and Sustainable Development, and International Affairs, Sara has demonstrated a passion for community-driven environments. While these concentrations demonstrate the extensive energy that Sara has committed to building sustainable local, regional and international agricultural systems, Sara also has focused much of her energy in food equity, access and urban growing systems. Her experiences working on the ground at farmers markets and in community has allowed her to gain greater insight into the deep connections that people have with their food. This insight guides her work and brings enthusiasm to building stronger, more resilient food systems throughout Maryland, and beyond.
