Educational Journey and Passion for TeachingI have dedicated 16 years to the field of education, gaining diverse experiences that have shaped my professional growth. Beginning in 2008, I had the privilege of working in Special Education at Bennett Elementary, where I spent two years in the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD), two years in Middle Childhood, and one year in Severe and Profound programs.From 2012 to 2015, I continued my career at Oak Ridge Elementary, serving as a Library Clerk for two years and a 4th-grade intervention teacher for one year. In the 2016-2017 school year, I had the opportunity to work as a personal visual aide to an eight-year-old girl with Alstrom Syndrome at Lubbock Cooper North.Throughout my time in the school system, I have had the privilege of working with students ranging from 2 to 12 years of age. In the 2017-2018 school year, I returned to Oak Ridge Elementary, and from 2018 to 2020, I enjoyed my role as the lead teacher for ages 2-5 years old at Westminster.During the COVID-19 pandemic, I pursued alternative teaching certification in 4-8 ELA with Inspire Texas through Region 4. In 2021, I found myself at Brownfield ISD, working with the 4th grade and navigating a different educational setting. In July 2022, I was hired by Levelland ISD for the 2022-2023 school year, filled with high hopes and expectations.Teaching is not just a job for me; it is my passion in life. I take great pride in creating safe and nurturing environments where students can learn and grow.
