I am a skilled epidemiologist with a strong academic background in epidemiology where my research focused on the impact of pregnancy on women’s risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer. Currently, I am working as an epidemiologist at the Danish Medicines Agency’s Data Analytics Center, where I get to apply my epidemiological skillset in a regulatory context. I am interested in how real-world data can contribute to improving evidence generation across all stages of the drug development lifecycle, as well as to sound regulatory desicion-making. I’m responsible for authoring study protocols and study reports based on real-world data from e.g. Danish registries, and enjoy expanding my statistical programming skills in R. I am currently on maternity leave, but will return 1 April 2024.

My research centered around the study of microchimerism in relation to maternal health. I used a variety of epidemiological methods, including case-cohort and cohort designs and advanced statistical modelling such as time-dependent covariates. During my PhD, I have obtained experience with study protocol development and statistical programming, as well as project management and administration, including data approvals, funding applications, and collaborations with stakeholders. -

Master Thesis Student At Section Of Epidemiology, Department Of Public HealthKøbenhavns Universitet - University Of Copenhagen Sep 2017 - Feb 2018Københavnsområdet, DanmarkTitle: Microchimerism and maternal ovarian cancer I was awarded a Silver medal by the University of Copenhagen for my research. In my master thesis, I carried out a prospective case-cohort study investigating the association between microchimerism (persistent fetal cells in maternal circulation) and maternal ovarian cancer risk using blood and questionnaire data from the Diet, Cancer and Health cohort and linkage to nationwide Danish registers, including the Danish Cancer Registry. Cells of presumed fetal origin were more often detected among cases than healthy subcohort women, corresponding to a significantly 48% reduced risk of ovarian cancer among women testing positive for microchimerism compared with women testing negative. -
