As a technical writer/developer at Open Text, you will work with migration scripts to convert content of existing documentation, contribute to technical solutions, and help with improving automation processes from the XML environment. You should be able to work independently and productively with minimal supervision. The ability to organize your time and see projects through to completion is extremely important. The field crops pathology lab at Harrow Research Development Center studies the microbes that cause disease on field crops, primarily beans and soybeans. The research involves the etiology, epidemiology and control of diseases. Currently we are investigating the changes in the overall population of pathogens in addition to the infective potential of these pathogens. The work term will provide the student with the opportunity to learn basic microbiological techniques in addition to modern molecular technology for detecting organisms.
