Sara Thomson is a CEO and Founder of The Leith Collective CIC at The Leith Collective. Thanks to her, more than 120 artists and makers from all over Scotland have been provided with a valuable commercial platform and united by a common cause – to reuse, recycle, reclaim, and resell items that may otherwise have been destined for landfill. It has been a genuine pleasure to witness the retail space evolve into a hub of creativity, and to see the effects that her workshops and initiatives are having on the local community. A true trailblazer, it is all down to Sara’s unwavering passion and dedication that The Leith Collective became the UK’s first ever plastic-free shop of its kind, and as she continues to spearhead the campaign to create a sustainable future for all, I’m excited to see where the journey takes her next.
