I'm currently working part-time in the Accounting Department at Unlimited Services and I like the work I do so much that I decided to obtain my Associates Degree in Accounting. Before this, I've had a very diverse work background. I have my Associates Degree as a Medical Secretary/Transcriptionist that I obtained in 2002. I worked at the same compay for 15 years, and I was able to move into different positions during my time there. I started out doing Administrative work, supporting the Executive Director and all the departments along with transcription for the therapy department. I then moved in to Human Resources and did all of the recruiting, benefits, and new employee trainings. Once I decided I wanted to find a job closer to home I found a job working in Accounting. It was new to me so I was a bit nervous but now I'm so grateful that I made the switch. I feel lucky I've had such a diverse work background, I've really learned a lot and it has really taught me where I want to be. I'm grateful I've found the Accounting world and decided it's what I want to do long term!
