Sara Truebridge—Founder of EDLINKS® & EDLINKS® Press—is a globally recognized strengths-based thought leader in education. She is a consultant, researcher, speaker, 2xTED Talk presenter, educator, and author specializing in the area of resilience, combining her experience and expertise in research, policy, and practice to promote social impact, success, and equity for all. In June 2024 she was invited to provide the keynote address at the conference, "Future of Education" at Microsoft in Silicon Valley, CA.Sara is faculty in the Education Leadership doctoral program at Southern New Hampshire University teaching Org. Analysis; Org. & Positive Social Change; Innovative Leadership; Leading a Culture of Abundance; and Social Entrepreneurial Leadership.Sara was the Education Consultant for the documentaries, "In Search of Greatness"; "Beyond Measure"; "Race To Nowhere"; and "Love Hate Love" which had its TV debut on Oprah’s network. Sara’s writing appears in peer-reviewed journals, books, newspapers, magazines, and websites. Sara’s book, "Resilience Begins with Beliefs: Building on Student Strengths for Success in School" was published in 2014 by Teachers College Press. Sara is the 2011 recipient of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Excellence in Research to Practice Award. Sara has over 20 years of classroom experience. As a student teacher, Sara was recognized by the National Education Association as one of three outstanding elementary student teachers in the U.S.Prior to teaching, Sara worked on policy and legislation as the Legislative Analyst for Education in the New York State Senate. Sara was later appointed by New York State Governor Mario Cuomo to be Special Assistant to the New York State Secretary of State.Sara earned her Doctorate and M.A. in Educational Leadership, and Administrative Credential from Mills College. In 2007, Sara was selected to participate in the Harvard Graduate School of Education program, Closing the Achievement Gap. Sara holds a B.A. from Denison University. She received a teaching credential from California State University, East Bay and graduated from the University of California Berkeley program, Children and the Changing Family. Sara was awarded the Mills College Education Alumnae Scholarship Award. Sara is also one of two international recipients of the 2005 Howard M. Soule Fellowship for Doctoral Studies. With a deep dedication and commitment to service, Sara's work in Africa includes working with the Batwa tribe; organizations preventing human trafficking; and schools in Uganda.
