The Competitive Edge Summer Research Program is a pre-entry summer research program supporting incoming first-year graduate students into the campus by enabling us to work on research projects, teaching us about the UCI community resources, forming relationships with other students and my faculty advisors, and participating in professional development programming.

Applied mathematical theories and statistical techniques in R to highly granular data to explore relationships between energy consumption in California to specific financial indicators.Performed open source data collection, advanced data management, coding, reproducibility, figure and report creation, and used various statistical models and estimation procedures to derive conclusions.Worked alongside a tenured Professor to interpret results, edit and write reports, and collaborate on methods to ensure proper application of statistical techniques.

Offer academic support to students in 100+ tutoring sessions at LAPC in topics ranging from trigonometry to college Statistics.Provide tailored study advice and support 18+ hours a week, focused on helping to increasing student's knowledge and understanding of Statistics.Took part in numerous tutor training, mentor sessions, and workshops in order to improve communication and tutoring techniques.

Irvine Summer Institute in Biostatistics and Undergraduate Data Science.ISI-BUDS is supported by the National Institute Of Allergy And Infectious Diseases of the National Institutes of Health under Award Number R25AI170491, as one of the Summer Institutes in Biostatistics (SIBS) and Data Science.

"The Summer Institute in Biostatistics (SIBS) and Data Science is sponsored jointly by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). The comprehensive six to seven week summer training course on biostatistics and principles of data science combines classroom learning with career mentoring and hands-on data analysis using data collected from clinical studies in prevention and treatment of infectious, immune-mediated, and chronic diseases. Designed to address a growing imbalance between the demand and supply for biostatisticians and data scientists, the course targets undergraduates and beginning graduate students who are interested in learning about biostatistics, and encourages them to consider graduate programs related to biostatistics and data science. The typical curricula include an intensive introduction to biostatistical approaches and research by exposing participants to the principles, methodologies, uses, and applications of statistical methods in biomedical and clinical research."
