The module presents how Industry 4.0 technologies, and in particular the concept of digital twin, can support corporate digitalisation. Simulation and validation of heterogeneous embedded systems.

The thesis of Sara Vinco proposes UNIVERCM, a formal computational model that allows to represent with a uniform syntax and a precise semantics heterogeneous systems composed of SW, analog and digital HW. Such an homogeneous description is then used as a starting point for verification, validation and design optimization flows. Furthermore, it allows homogeneous C++ code generation for SW execution and for efficient parallel simulation of the system on highly parallel architectures.
