We are piloting a "Bridge to Middle School" model this year in which fifth graders transition to a math classroom, an English Language Arts classroom, and a computer lab and engage in learning through direct instruction and a blended learning program. I am responsible for teaching math to 74 fifth graders separated into three groups. I also teach P.E. three days a week.

Looping with students from sixth to eighth grade, I teach English Language Arts, math, science, and social studies.

Teaching small groups of students in fifth through seventh grades, I work to improve students' understandings of concepts in math and language arts skills. As the after school program's coordinator, I facilitate the after school program at AIPCS II as well as collaborate with the site coordinators at two other schools included in the grant program to ensure all programs are compliant with the policies of the grant program. I work closely with the site coordinator at AIPCS II to develop and improve upon the after school program.

I served as a sixth grade homeroom teacher for two years. In this position, I taught junior high Literature, Language Arts, Social Studies and Religion. Before this, I taught P.E. to students in grades K-4 and Reading instruction to those in 3-6. For two years, I served as the Athletic Director, and I also helped to run the Running Club, an early morning activity and program I started when I worked as a Teachers' Aid three years prior.

I worked as a Reading and Math Resource Teacher. I pulled students from grades two through five out of their classrooms to receive additional and small-group oriented instruction in Reading and Math.
