My last assignment at IKEA Components AB was at the IT department as a project support, which means that I supported the finance department with their programs/systems, like M3 & Basware etc, and different projects.I tested functionalities in M3, held trainings for co-workers & made work instructions. I have attended a PPS education for project members and ITIL.I was also involved in integration between some systems.Before I started at the IT department I worked at the finance department at the same company. Already there my interest starting to grow within IT. At the finance department I worked with supplier invoices, book-keeping, VAT reports, monthly closing, yearly closing etc. I often supported my colleagues with IT related issues and I also had the privilege to be involved in some improvement projects. I was also responsible for some of the IT-systems that we used in the finance department. The responsibilities included introducing new co-workers to the systems and to secure that the systems were up and running. If there were problems with the systems I was the speaking partner between the business and the IT provider. This I still do in my new position.As I have come to work more and more with IT I have realized that IT is a natural and important function of our work with great potential.
