I am a PhD student in History of Asia at the University of Pavia with a research project dealing with Iranian history. I am mainly interested in the study of protest movements in the MENA region and their effects on constitution-building and democratization/autocratization.I hold a MA in International Relations (with honors) from the University of Milan, a BA in International Studies and European Institutions (with honors) from the same University and a Diploma in Geopolitics and Global Security from ISPI. I have obtained two Erasmus+ scholarships, a DAAD scholarship and a scholarship of the University of Pavia to spend periods of study and research in foreign institutions, including Sciences Po Lille (France) in 2018, Central European University (Austria) in 2023, Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg (Germany) in 2023 e Berlin Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies (Germany) in 2024. I am member of SeSaMo - Società per gli Studi del Medio Oriente, the Association of Iranian Studies and junior member of IAI-Istituto Affari Internazionali.Thanks to my previous and ongoing professional activities I developed several skills, including research skills, ability to put into writing the information I find, revising and copyediting. *Currently, I am research fellow at theSquare and deputy of the editorial staff of the academic journal Nuovi Autoritarismi e Democrazie: Diritto, Istituzioni, Società, I contribute to the activities of the editorial staff of the Observatory on New Democracies and Authoritarianisms (Osservatorio NAD) and I am teaching assistant of History and Institutions of Islamic Countries at the University of Milan. * I have taken part as speaker in more than 20 conferences, workshop and events for a specialist and non-specialist audience in Italy, France, Switzerland, UK, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Turkey, Singapore.*Previously, I did three research traineeships: 1) in a bi-national institution (Villa Vigoni), 2) in an NGO (CESPI) and 3) in a think tank (IAI-Istituto Affari Internazionali). I enjoy working and studying in an international environment in order to share ideas and improve my language skills. Currently, I can speak Italian (native), English (fluent - C2), French (fluent - C2), German (upper intermediate - B2), and Persian (advanced - C1). I am also improving my Spanish and learning Modern and Ottoman Turkish.
