My love of storytelling began at an early age - with a childhood tale of a day spent by the Florida coast written by my paternal grandmother and, naturally, The Chronicles of Narnia. I spent my life dreaming of how I could become a magazine writer. When I struggled to think of how start my career in journalism in the mid aughts, a new path to tell stories emerged and I quickly ran with building a career in communications when I moved to New York City in 2007. For 15+ years, I’ve driven communications strategies for an incredible range of companies and sectors. While an early job at the American Foundation for the Blind cemented I will always have a passion for purpose-oriented companies, I’m particularly enamored with the brand-consumer relationship and companies solving for better ways to unify the two. I’ve worked for nearly every type of advertising agency you can think of - digital, creative, traditional, media, social, etc. - and expanded that expertise to the broader B2B ecosystem. I excel in working with late-stage startups and enterprise-level B2B companies that use data and technology to better understand, and connect with, people. Companies like SOCi and Epsilon and Airkit and Lucy and Pandora and Heap and Workhuman and Braze and RollWorks. An inquisitive person and curious problem solver, my approach to communications is rooted in the word “why.” Why have things shifted for consumers? Why have marketers needed to change their strategies? Why is what we’re doing making a difference and how? Why should this matter? So it's no surprise that my two amazing kids also spend the entirety of their day asking me “why?”. I spend my down time voraciously reading all the magazines my mailbox can hold, collecting tacky coffee mugs, fumbling my way through cookbooks, and trying to master the New York Magazine crossword.
