Profile bio

About Sara Alrabiah

I am an experienced researcher in the archaeological, political, and economic fields. Due to the nature of my research interests, I am skilled at finding information even in contexts where it is limited. My interdisciplinary education led me to be resourceful in adopting and adapting methodologies across disciplines to get as much information as possible from the data available. For example, I have used political theories on urban space and philosophical frameworks on the production of space to develop an experimental methodology to study ancient settlements. My interests broadly lie in studying, through both a comparative and diachronic approach, the use of archeology as a tool for building a political identity, archeology’s role in economic activity, and its international reach through nongovernmental institutions. Specifically, I am interested in research for policy drafting purposes, historical research for broad narratives of economical and political changes, and archival research for building data sets.
