BUPTAP investigates human-environment interactions around the ancient city of Petra (Jordan). Specifically, the project studies the construction, use, repair, and collapse of terrace walls and dams in a single watershed north of the city. My role involved the following:• Conducted ethnographic interviews with locals.• Conducted on-site archaeological excavations, surveys, and field reporting.• Liaised with governmental departments and provided on-site translation.• Categorized archaeological finds and built an inventory on Excel.• Designed and developed a website for BUPTAP.• Created the website’s visual and written content aimed at introducing Petra and BUPTAP’s work to a broad audience.• Translated BUPTAP’s field report into Arabic.
