About Sara Arranz

I am an enthusiastic and highly motivated scientist in nutrition and biomedicine with a background on chemistry and with extensive experience in physico-chemical analysis of food, metabolomics, nutritional biomarkers and bioactivity, and extensive experience developing nutritional studies in humans. The techniques of which I have a good command include HPLC-MS/MS (QqQ, QTof, Orbitrap), GC-MS, metabolomic and nutrigenomic analysis related with dietary polyphenolic action (DNA isolation and quantitative PCR analysis). I have experince in the application of different multivariate statistical tools to deal with complex epidemiologic analyses (SPSS and R softwares). I have actively participated in the design and execution of research projects as well as in the writing of articles, reports and applications for funding. I have mentored PhD students. I have a flexible and dynamic character, always with team spirit and capable of developing different tasks.
