Founded in 1987 to embed strong architectural design within underserved neighborhoods, our New York based firm has specialized in projects that require intensive design thinking. Rooted in rigorous research, our designs transcend to embody the spirit of a place and its community.Caples Jefferson Architects’ distinctions include City of New York MWBE of the Year, Emerging Voice of the Architectural League, and numerous design awards from the national American Institute of Architects, the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and the National Organization of Minority Architects. In addition to leading her practice, Ms. Caples has taught at Syracuse University and was the Visiting Distinguished Professor for the CCNY School of Architecture in the Fall 2008 and Fall 2009.
