Following a series of successful public relations projects with the Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney's office, I transitioned into a larger role in February 2024. I provided local media outreach for Fall Fiesta 2013, Cooperative for Education's major fundraising event for the year. Working with staffers, I planned, coordinated, and executed a public relations plan in order to grow the prestige of the event. Highlights included coverage from FOX19, WCPO, Express Cincinnati, Charitable Words and iSPYCINCY. I also served as emcee/talent for this event. As a result of this and other efforts, Fall Fiesta had the best year ever, raising more than $100,000 for educational efforts in Guatemala.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Area

I served as the anchor for the 9PM news on KFOR/KAUT's Freedom43. I wrote stories, made contacts, and reported for the station before anchoring the evening news each weeknight. I also contributed reports and fill-in anchor on KFOR. During ratings periods I coordinated, planned and oversaw special reports with other colleagues. Social media was also a focus of Freedom43, and I was responsible for maintaining my own Facebook "fan" page, the "fan" page for Freedom43, Twitter accounts for both, and a Pinterest account.During my time at KFOR and Freedom43, I was part of the team which provided critical breaking news coverage of the Oklahoma tornadoes that hit the region on May 19th, 20th, and 31st, 2013. Through a coordinated team effort, KFOR led the national and international coverage of these devastating natural disasters. My most significant and important moments came on May 20th, when I reported live from "Ground Zero" in Moore for 13 hours at the Plaza Towers Elementary School, which took a direct hit from the weather system.

I wrote articles and provided content for this online women's magazine. Cincy Chic is a unique online magazine that publishes every Monday. I wrote at least one article a week, and that allowed me to meet many people and learn more about the Cincinnati area. I also helped editor Amy Scalia with various events for Cincy Chic.

I wrote articles, took photos, handled public relations and planned events for this website. It's a new media venture founded in September 2010. By working with founder Leah Zipperstein, I flexed my writing skills, creative thinking, and love of event planning. We had success in growing the website's page views by almost 200% each month since December.

At FOX19, I was the definition of the new type of journalist. Not only did I maintain networking contacts and break stories, I contributed to the shows in any way I was needed. I anchored, produced, wrote, reported, edited, and shot news stories. I was also a leader in social media, seeing it early on as a tool to reach an increasingly mobile audience.

I did everything I could to learn all aspects of broadcast news during my time at KSLA. I started out shooting the news, and ended three years later as a breaking news anchor for the morning show and the weekend morning anchor.
