I manage a portfolio of 25 NHS member charities located in London and Kent and provide support for grant implementation. I also arrange check-in calls, review reports, and conduct site visits to ensure compliance. I am part of the operational working group for the Innovation Challenge Fund, which seeks to innovatively address health and healthcare inequalities experienced by children and young people.

I focus on strategy and partnership development with other organisations and NHS services. I also assist with identifying and writing bids, and with delivering funded project activities such as our Mindful Muslims group support programme.

I began an on-going project to map local services, organisations, and service offerings within the region and/or that are relevant to our work . Additionally, I completed a literature review of research about mental health of Muslims in the UK.

I support the implementation of prioritised perinatal mental health therapies and inform the next phase of development of the wider approach to psychological therapies across adult mental health.

I provide input into national policy development and guidance, attend NHS events, and work with the Perinatal, Children, and Young Persons' Mental Health team to promote long-term plan ambitions. I assisted with qualitative research and analysis to co-design guidance for co-production with racialised communities (available on NHS Futures platform; to be published publicly soon).

I ensure patient views and perspectives are included in Faculty activities, executive meetings, guidance, and publications. 2027 is a development programme, through which I work with other associates and my host organisation on my development and leadership in the context of the grant making sector. 2027 exists as a programme to provide grant-giving opportunities for those who have lived experience of being “working-class” and working within their community.

I served on a panel of people with lived experience of homelessness, working in partnership with Lloyds Banking Group to address issues regarding affordable housing, financial security, and ending homelessness in the UK. I led webinars and contributed to a Community of Best Practice with commissioners and charities to support women experiencing homelessness.
