I developed and executed strategy and developed and implemented the ongoing evaluation framework for the Centre to monitor its performance. I collaborated with leading researchers across a range of disciplines to develop grant applications, establish and maintaining relationships with industrial partners, coordinate events and marketing of our research and innovation activities.

I worked across eight Scottish Higher Education Institutions to coordinate and deliver the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance (SUPA) knowledge exchange strategy. Key aspects of my role were Identification of specific knowledge exchange and income generation opportunities, supporting SUPA academics and their knowledge transfer offices in the identification and exploitation of intellectual property.

The Medici scheme is the University of Birmingham year-long fellowship and training programme aimed at research staff interested in developing the commercial / economic and societal impact of their research. My role included identification of early stage commercial opportunities arising from the School of Chemistry at the University of Birmingham.

> Synthesis and characterisation of novel chemically amplified UV and e-beam molecular resists for lithographic applications. > Synthesis and characterisation of C60 derivatives to be employed as self-amplifying resists. > The resists were utilised in a collaborative project aimed at patterning of silicon at the nanoscale and fabrication of molecular circuits with applications in electronics and photonics.
