I conduct qualitative research on Burmese refugee participants, with the goal of fully understanding the impact of the project on their community's food security, financial success, youth health, youth job skills training, and microenterprise training for hopeful farmers.

I assisted farmers with sustainable management of their operations and farmland in accordance with state and federal soil and water regulation. My position included extensive fieldwork for management of soil, animal mortality, and waste disposal, as well as GIS mapping of farms for nutrient management planning. I oversaw inspections and annual registration of 258 poultry operations, performed earthen dam inspections, enforced compliance of ash waste from the 2008 ice storm, and hosted education days at demonstration farms.
