In this role, I am responsible for undergraduate and graduate medical education for the Department of Medicine, acting in conjunction with with the Vice Chair of Education, Program Director, and Director of Undergraduate Medical Education in the planning, organizing, and executing of the implementation and management of administrative and academic operations. My key responsibilities include: 1. Research, analyze, and present data and findings to administrators across the educational continuum on strategic planning, operational organization, financial projections, especially as related to the education budget, staff management and performance, space and equipment issues, and implementation of new processes and systems 2. Manage fiscal budget process for the Department of Medicine totaling 320+ FTEs across 20 graduate training programs3. Oversee and manage departmental budgets across three accounting units, totaling approximately $3M as well as review monthly expenses and variances and reconcile any accounting issues 4. Directly supervise six staff in the education office including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, on-boarding, training, PTO approval, conflict management, and annual evaluations 5. Indirectly supervise fellowship coordinators across 13 subspecialties, providing support, best practices, and information throughout the academic year 6. In conjunction with the Chief Medical Residents, develop, execute, and manage yearly academic rotational schedule in compliance with ACGME regulations for 175+ trainees across various programs and specialties 7. Implemented, and now maintain new scheduling software for Undergraduate Medical Education and the Internal Medicine Residency Program, which combined includes 450+ users 8. Maintain technological components of the educational office including the learning management system and website 9. Serve as project lead on Internal Medicine Residency Program events and educational retreats for the Department

In this role, I was solely responsible for managing the outpatient residency program for the Department of General Internal Medicine, ensuring that educational requirements of resident physicians were met and the standards and reputation of the program were maintained. My key responsibilities included: 1. Managed the day-to-day outpatient practice operations of the Internal Medicine Residency program by coordinating resident rotations, schedule changes, conferences, Epic on-boarding, quarterly reports, and end-of-year patient transitions2. Created, implemented, and maintained 135+ resident and preceptor schedules in web application base, AMiON3. Built, tracked, and managed semi-annual resident and faculty evaluations in web application base, MedHub4. Served as project manager for multifaceted early scheduling initiative that improved patient access and continuity 5. Assist with yearly fiscal budget for the Department of Medicine totaling 320+ FTEs6. Oversee accounts payable and effectively process vendor invoices and research and resolve all payment variances 7. Assist with the organization of yearly residency interviews which includes coordinating vendors, gathering materials from ERAS and Thalamus, and meeting and greeting applicants8. Oversee 25+ courses via learning management platform, Canvas, and consult with faculty to determine needs and end-learning goals, and then design and implement solutions to meet those needs
