Responsible for the overall operation and strategic manager of Preston Park Museum and Grounds. Managing a diverse team of over 20 staff within a busy visitor attraction, welcoming almost 200,000 visitors per year. My role involves the safeguarding of a museum collection of over 100,000 objects, managing the budget, seeking new development opportunities.

Manager of the new visitor attraction set within Wynyard Hall during a crucial development time. Worked to develop and deliver a capital scheme creating a glass house and edible garden.

• Responsible for the overall strategic management of the Parks & Countryside Estate within Durham County Council. This includes 54 sites ranging from 3 major recreational parks, picnic sites, SSSI sites, railway paths.
• Provide the vision for increasing participation through interpretation, education and events programmes across the service.
• Responsible for the management of major capital projects and revenue budget areas amounting to £1.3 million.
• Overall strategic management of keys sites including Hardwick Park, Riverside and Wharton Park.
• Delivering a £4.2 million restoration project at the historical Wharton Park. Working with planners, contractors, stakeholders, local members and residents. I have been heavily involved in this project since last year.
• Manage a large team ranging from café assistants, caretakers, education staff to rangers.
