About Sara Graham (She/Her)

The body of work that I have been developing over the last twenty years has been primarily concerned with issues and ideas that surround and make up the contemporary city. My current practice is predominately rooted in drawing and one of my central activities is the mapping of place through combinations and permutations of facts, fictions, histories, memories, physical and psychic spaces. I am also interested in how citizens move about within cities especially through improvisational travel or happenstance, as a flâneur, an urban explorer. I am also curious about our relationship to place and space and how it shifts and morphs depending on our individual movement and speed through the environment.
