Since 2022, I have been teaching third grade language arts and social studies teacher in Wolfforth, Texas. Before moving to Frenship ISD, I taught second through fourth grade in Lubbock ISD. Last year, I received the honor of being selected as Frenship ISD's Elementary Educator of the Year. As a curriculum developer, I am passionate about creating resources that are accessible and aligned. The accessibility and alignment are important to me due to my experience in teaching second through fourth grades, looping with classes two consecutive years, teaching virtually, attending NSTA's STEM conferences, completing research for my masters degree, designing college level courses, and creating presentations for educators. During my teaching career, I have been a content presenter and mentor for new teachers. Student teachers from Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University has also been selected to work in my classroom.In the 2020-2021 school year, I taught exclusively virtually. While I am a firm believer in providing manipulatives and hands on experiences, I am also intentional about teaching technology skills. My students use google apps, Peardeck, and many other programs that help increase accountability, feedback, accessibility, and collaboration.
