As part of The Giving Lab's Community Wellbeing project, I was responsible for facilitating and co-facilitating two courses for the Latin American community in London.One was focused on 'Women's Empowerment' which was designed to help Latina women in London navigate many areas including job skills (CV writing, cover letters, communication in professional settings and networking), personal finances, resilience and mental health. Language development was a key tenet of the course.The other course was 'Get to Know your GP' in which we explored different elements related to health and how to access the public healthcare system.

Adelante Mujer is a not for profit organisation based in Cochabamba, Bolivia, whose mission is to support Bolivian women to build lives free from violence, and inspire other women in their communities to do the same.For more info: www.adelante-mujer.org.We are a strongly community-led organisation, with women who have been through our programme becoming leaders and coordinators of our activities and projects. Innovation, community and sustainability are at the heart of what we do. In 2018, we started working with women in safe houses to host Bolivian Traditional Cooking workshops for tourists, and from there, our community of women grew and evolved into a community run organisation, with:- A catering service with clients ranging from Save The Children Bolivia, Oxfam Bolivia and many more. - Our flagship 'Cooking Workshop' project that gives travellers and tourists the opportunity to immerse themselves in the flavours and stories behind local food, guided by the women of our community- Workshops and Programmes designed to help the women we serve develop practical skills and leadership skills to improve their job conditions.- Emotionally Therapeutic workshops focused on Wellbeing designed to support the women find healing and move on from their pasts towards more self-empowered futures.- Community events open to the public, centred around the theme of Womens Empowerment and the power of the community.Our funding model is diverse and mostly self-supporting, so we have to be extremely resourceful in our approach to strategy. My contribution to Adelante Mujer has ranged from setting it up from scratch, harnessing the power of volunteers, friends and community to co-create a proposal that would be financially sustainable in the long term, and now having handed over the ropes to a local very capable team, being present on the board for support, fundraising needs and general cheerleading!

I was responsible for creating content, planning and delivering BFS's social media strategy, in a way that would enforce their key mission: Driving social mobility in the creative industry by providing first class training to diverse and underserved groups

• Produced the programme for HowTheLightGetsIn 2016, the largest ideas and music festival in the world, hosting speakers such as Natalie Bennett, Simon Baron Cohen, Sally Phillips, David Nutt, Owen Jones, Paul Dolan etc• Generated and pitched debate ideas to festival director, wrote stimulating debate/talk synopses to be used in the programme that will appeal to general public.• Chose relevant speakers to be on the panels, approached them to pitch the festival and the debate concept, and to get their opinions. Built solid relationships with these speakers.• Pitched the festival and negotiated music contracts with artist agencies and booked artists like Zero 7, King Charles, Ghostpoet, Maribou State amongst others. Due to our small budget, passion, energy and enthusiasm were especially important.• Worked on digital marketing, arranged interviews with artists, competitions to improve brand awareness and ticket sales• Liaised with artists and speakers at the festival, briefing them on the debates they would host or speak in. Announced, and managed events.
