I work to amplify the stories of clients served by Open Communities's fair housing testing, education, and housing counseling programs by connecting with donors and neighbors eager to create just and inclusive communities in north suburban Chicago.

Institutionalized school-wide anti-racism education and dialogue program for parents, caregivers and teachers. Recruit and lead racially diverse team of 12 parent volunteers to assess equity needs of the school community. Hire and collaborate with equity trainers, coordinate logistics and publicize school-wide adult education events. Adapted to remote learning needs of 2020-2021 school years by providing monthly affinity groups on Zoom. Co-develop and co-facilitate monthly Zoom white anti-racism affinity group, support coordination of Black and Latinx affinity groups.

Design and execute social media strategy on Facebook, Instagram and maintain public-facing website. Write content for monthly newsletter, weekly e-news, and regular social media content. Founding Chair of Anti-Racism Task Force to organize and facilitate anti-racism education for systemic change. Member of LGBTQIA+ Task Force; recruit speakers, educate and advocate for nonbinary and trans inclusivity. Design and lead intergenerational weekend retreats, educational forums, support groups, and justice actions. Write and deliver weekly children’s messages on love, inclusion and justice for in-person and remote worship services. Recruit and manage volunteer Christian Education teachers for elementary religious education program. Collaborate with Artistic Director of Mudlark Theater to write and co-direct annual original pageant. Co-teach confirmation class; lead justice, service, interfaith youth projects; mentored “Youth Talk” facilitators.

Unite diverse network of parents from 5 D65 elementary & middle schools for equity education collaborations. Hire and collaborate with equity trainers for anti-racism education and action within the school system. Organize logistics, market, and recruit attendees. Coordinated and participated in first Beyond Diversity event for D65 middle school feeder district caregivers.

Co-developed and led interactive live and on-line trainings in youth development, education and mental health. Presented to leaders/educators of Boston Public Schools, CityYear and Whole Child/Whole Day Conference. Co-led two-day training for Boston Public Schools’ inaugural Summer Learning Pilot (SLP) collaboration. Trained partners in administration and interpretation of results from youth self report assessment tool. Coached five school and community agency partners in application of SLP approach and clinical problem solving.

Managed graduate interns in public school prevention program including training, supervising and recruiting. Liaised with principal, teachers, and support staff to effectively coordinate agency relationship with school. Developed and implemented program activities matching middle school setting needs and program goals. Counseled middle school students in individual therapy and as needed for crisis-based student support.

Established clinical component of school-based prevention program including individual and group services. Provided individual therapy and case management for middle school students, including family outreach. Oversaw group programming development and master co-led therapeutic arts group for middle school girls. Specialized in trauma sensitive practice under the clinical supervision of the Trauma Center in Boston.
