I am currently serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA serving the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Arizona.

In addition to my mentorship commitment with my 'little', I assist the match coordinator in holding monthly events for the matches at the colleges and in the surrounding community. My duties include organizing the logistics of each event, sending bi-weekly emails to matches and communicating with the match coordinator and the director of Community Engagement and Service Learning.

Hobart and William Smith has a long term partnership with the Boys and Girls Club in Geneva New York. As a coordinator for the HWS Tutor Corps, I serve as a leader, an academic tutor and a social role model. I attend weekly office hours with the program coordinators, as well as additional office hours with the other student coordinators. My main duties include organizing my specific programs daily logistics, provide support for mentors, as well as tutoring and engaging with a small group of students. I serve a population of students from 4-6 grade twice a week for 2 hours. As a civic leader in the Hobart and William Smith community, I am a resource for other students and represent the colleges.

Kiwimbi Internation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that focuses on providing educational resources to Amagoro, Kenya and the surrounding counties. Amagoro, Kenya is a rural community that holds several primary and secondary schools. Kiwimbi is a library and community center that offers a wide range of educational resources, including but not limited to providing assess to books and classroom materials, additional math and English lessons to students, a lunch program and vocational training. In addition, Kiwimbi also trains assistant teachers to provide additional classroom support for teachers. During my six week internship, my duties included co-leading small English sessions focusing on improving reading comprehension and grammar, leading small group reading sessions in the local primary school as well as assisting in a mentorship program for young women. Other duties included assisting in the development of alternative creative teaching strategies to implement in Kiwimbi's English summer camp programs.

YWCA Cambridge is a 501(c)(3) organization co-located in Cambridge and Marshfield, MA, whose mission is “eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all".Forest Foundation supports 65 highly competitive summer non-profit internships in Greater Boston for students who have a demonstrated passion and commitment to community service.Assist Development Manager in fundraising, marketing, research, and special events as necessary. Responsible for cultivating and scheduling community event posts on all social media channels. Assist Director of Summer Programs at the Marshfield Branch to research and collect data on various project ideas. Primarily responsible for managing data collection and documentation efforts of the development department.

Hillside Family of Agencies is located in Western and Central New York. Hillside Children’s Center (HCC) is a provider of care for youth and families with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, or life-circumstance challenges. HCC offers mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice, special education, safety net, and developmental disabilities services to children and families.Assisted the Clinical Social Works in the specialized unit for boys ranging from 10-18. The unit addresses the needs and providing support for individuals with convictions of sexual assault. Assistance included but not limited to case management meeting, treatment plans, and weekly therapies. Observed the implication of Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Play Therapy, Group Therapy and Sexual Health and Education Workshops. Lead Group Therapies as well as individual Play Therapy sessions. Attended workshops including TF-CBT training, Play Therapy and Assessing and Identity Post Traumatic Stress Disorders in youth.

Geneva High School services a diverse community within a college town in upstate New York.Assists English Language teachers with lesson plans and administrative tasks. Individual tutoring for students struggling in academic content areas including math, history and the sciences. Provides support in a integrated special education English classroom.

Wediko Summer Program is a 45-day residential treatment program serving boys and girls ages 9-19 with social, emotional and behavioral challenges. The children who come to Wediko are referred by schools, educational consultants, and clinicians from across the country who believe a fresh-air, therapeutic experience can create positive change. Wediko Summer Program is in Partnership with Americorps.Facilitates daily routines for a cabin of six female identified youth ranging from 12-14 years old. Supports individuals emotional needs while assisting campers in personal growth in social, emotional and behavior challenges. Provides support in summer school classes as well as advocating their needs to directly to the teacher. Implements specialized Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP) and facilitates and conducts weekly group therapies.
