My new role will include working with the apprenticeship team on finding new employers and new apprenticeship opportunities within the Weymouth areas for all industry types.Developing relationships with all local employers and helping them understand how the apprenticeships can benefit their business.This will also include being driven by the local industries and looking at the demand from local employers and how the college can work more closely with employers to ensure we are offering the right type of training and qualifications.

Having experience as cabin crew, I work with our air cabin crew students on their L2 Diploma in Air Cabin Crew. Covering cabin crew room duties, airline emergency procedures and the role of air cabin crew (on board).All areas are assessed and go towards the students qualification including a day at an airline.

New Business development and introducing new apprenticeship standards/frameworks in different industry types.Working with local employers and finding them suitable students that can start at their companies as apprentices.Advertising and recruiting apprentices including interviewing and ensuring they are interview ready for an employer with an up to date CV.Following up with employers and general account management of new employers to this process.Networking with businesses to understand their workforce needs and looking how we can support this with an apprenticeship.Presenting at local schools and within the full time college to students the benefits of an apprenticeship job and how this can start their career in different types of industries. Promoting apprenticeship job opportunities to the local community and businesses.

Working within the Hospitality, Tourism, Hair and Beauty industries, working with local employers on apprenticeships, courses for their staff and any training needs that the college could help with.Promoting all the college facilities including their award winning Escoffier Restaurant and our Flaunt Hair and Beauty Salons.
