As an independent contractor I assist organizations launch innovative programs, primarily regarding housing and homelessness. Since 2020, I have supported eviction prevention and foreclosure prevention efforts by building and implementing a rental relief programs utilizing both private and federal dollars. I have fostered a network of local and national experts in housing and homelessness to stay current and continually expand my knowledge. Most recently, I have focused on systems level landlord engagement, curating a non-siloed approach to landlord engagement and building a 50+ organization collaborative to engage landlords and expand access to affordable vacant units for the benefit of those exiting housing insecurity.

Built and implemented a system wide landlord engagement effort. The project started as a pilot project under MACCH and has more than tripled in funding, partnered with agencies, 3 funders, and 80+ property owners to expand access to housing opportunities for the benefit of those experiencing housing insecurity, including homelessness, refugee status, and re-entry folks.

Developed relationships with local businesses to increase voter awareness, secure supply pick-up and drop-off locations, and provide event spaces all while promoting the business and encouraging our supports to patronize these establishments. Organized and planned events aimed to engage the community and provide a social service (park cleanups). Assisted in coordinating a team of 160 + volunteers.

At MACCH I worked to build, implement, and manage a COVID relief fund specific to housing assistance. Our team successfully distributed $8 million dollars in 2020, grew the program to have 12 dedicated team members, partnered with 21 other agencies, and successfully secured 2021 funding.

Bluestone took me to along new pathways in my leasing career. They encouraged me to be active in marketing apartment homes, to be creative with blogging, and to network & promote local neighboring businesses creating mutually beneficial connections.

This position gave me a foundation of patience working with children and parents. It helped me develop how to establish trust building relationships in a professional atmosphere.
