Inpatient • In laborist role, evaluate and manage care of all triage patients, consult with primary provider to coordinate care. • Evaluate and manage CNM patients’ labors. • Evaluate patients at risk for and diagnosed with hypertension, gestational diabetes, pre-term labor. • Manage labor and attend deliveries of all low-risk patients on fast-paced L&D unit. • Promote low-risk birth and safe outcomes for all pregnant and laboring patients. • Precept and mentor medical students and residents. • Perform first assist for cesarean sections. Outpatient • Evaluate obstetrical and gynecological patients, provide family planning and reproductive services. • Diagnose and manage complex chronic medical conditions, linkage to care and social services.• Assess and diagnose patient mental health conditions. Create evidence based, holisitic mental health plan incorporating lifestyle changes, herbs and supplements, correction of hormonal imbalances and psychiatric medications for mood and anxiety disorders, bipolar I and II disorders, schizophrenia, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder.

• In group practice, provide full scope care to clients desiring low intervention home birth. • Provide prenatal care, screenings and education. Assess and manage fetal and maternal wellbeing in labor, implement interventions, and transfer to hospital as required. Comprehensively evaluate parent and newborn postpartum. • Supervise birth assistants in office and birth. • Supervise and mentor APN students to apply theoretical knowledge to clinical care.

-Provide respectful, comprehensive and holistic primary, gynecology, and mental health care to women and trans* people of reproductive through post-menopausal age.-Diagnose and manage complex chronic conditions; refer clients for specialist care as indicated.-Initiate and manage transgender hormone replacement therapy in alignment with client goals.-Evaluate mental health. Full-time parenting for two infants as well as significant child birth education and doula labor support work

Responsible for planning and implementing the educational, work-related, and community-building aspects of the AVODAH’s yearlong program in Chicago. Participants in our service Corps program live out and deepen their commitments to social change and Jewish life through a year of full-time work at anti-poverty organizations in Chicago, New Orleans, New York, and Washington, DC. This work brings important resources to low income communities and equips Corps members to emerge as lifelong agents for social change, whose work for justice is rooted in and nourished by Jewish values.
