Siting, permiting, and licensing of energy projects within the Industrial Systems Business Group

Perform tidal and non-tidal wetlands and waters delineations in accordance with the Army Corps of Engineers 1987 Wetlands Delineation Manual, Regional Supplement, and guidance. Investigate the potential extent of wetlands on properties using aerial photographs, NRCS soil maps, and USFWS National Wetlands Inventory Maps. Conduct stream and habitat assessments. Plan and implement studies to determine the extent of Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act features on properties. Assess environmental impacts of proposed projects, and prepare necessary Clean Water Act Section 401/404 permit applications. Coordinate projects with local, state, and federal agencies. Review project plans to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements. Prepare restoration plans describing project objectives, success criteria, and management plans for wetland banks, restoration, and compensatory mitigation sites. Draft declarations of restrictive covenants for compensatory mitigation sites. Collect and analyze vegetation, soil, and hydrology data from mitigation sites. Prepare technical reports for clients and regulatory agencies. Generate wetland delineation maps using ArcGIS software. Compile information regarding past project costs, timelines, and effort required to produce final deliverable products, and provide cost estimates to senior staff. Assist in preparing proposals for contracted services.
