    I analyzed Hubble Space Telescope images of Swift-BAT detected Active Galactic Nuclei in the optical and infrared filters to identify nuclear dust lanes in the host galaxies. By studying these images, we can evaluate if there is a correlation between nuclear dust lanes and x-ray obscuration, and if indeed there is, the average galaxy-wide obscuration due to the lanes.
