As a Case Manager at CenLA Healthy Start, I provide social service support to pregnant women, infants, and families in need. I conduct assessments, referrals, follow-ups, and home visits to ensure the well-being and safety of my clients. I also collaborate with other agencies and community partners to coordinate services and resources for my clients.I have a passion for helping children and families, which stems from my education and work experience. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University at Alexandria, where I learned about child and human development, mental health, and counseling. I also have experience as a Team Lead at New Horizon Kids Quest IV, Inc., where I supervised and mentored a staff of 12, and as a Crisis Intervention Specialist at The Ness Center, where I provided de-escalation and intervention to individuals in crisis situations. I have developed skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, leadership, communication, and problem-solving, which I apply in my current role as a Case Manager. My goal is to pursue a master's degree in social work and continue to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.
