During my first semester of this internship, I’ve had opportunities to create and implement marketing strategies for LSU sports and programs, develop fan experience initiatives through digital marketing, sponsor activations, and fan events/watch parties, and execute promotional elements at all before and during home LSU athletic events. I am eager to finish out my internship and spring semester as the head marketing intern over gymnastics while continuing to develop creative initiatives and work hands-on with other sports. While serving as a congressional intern for my hometown district member in the U.S. House of Representatives, I had the opportunity to fulfill a plethora of communications and legislative duties. A typical day on the Hill consisted of leading U.S. Capitol tours to district constituents, voicing the Congressman’s stances on relevant topic matters over the phone, drafting letters denoting concerns regarding various bills and issues, and tracking congressional votes of the 118th Congress… Show more While serving as a congressional intern for my hometown district member in the U.S. House of Representatives, I had the opportunity to fulfill a plethora of communications and legislative duties. A typical day on the Hill consisted of leading U.S. Capitol tours to district constituents, voicing the Congressman’s stances on relevant topic matters over the phone, drafting letters denoting concerns regarding various bills and issues, and tracking congressional votes of the 118th Congress. Additionally, I proudly contributed to the Congressman’s online presence by writing copy and choosing images for a website portion informing the public of his specific visits to the district, as well as curated content for the Congressman’s Twitter and Facebook accounts. Upon reflection on my time in D.C., I leave with both a renewed outlook and expanded skillset, as well as an eagerness to continue pursuing a career path of utmost fulfillment. Show less

As a public relations intern for Innovation Park, I was presented with a plethora of tasks ranging from assembling physical and digital creative marketing publications for all Louisiana Small Business Development Centers to constructing website news releases through interviews with tenants and prospective clients. These were utilized to promote awareness and shape public perception. I also assisted in managing LSU Innovation’s social media and business accounts.

As a research intern with Global Treks and Adventures, I had the opportunity to collaborate with 25 individuals from across the globe in the development of a cultural anthology publication on the Big Island of Hawaii, as well as an interactive digital beach and trail guide. During the in-person portion of this role, I performed interviews, gathered local research, and acquired my own photography on the Big Island of Hawaii in order to gain unique and in-depth knowledge from natives and the… Show more As a research intern with Global Treks and Adventures, I had the opportunity to collaborate with 25 individuals from across the globe in the development of a cultural anthology publication on the Big Island of Hawaii, as well as an interactive digital beach and trail guide. Navigating the remote portion of this role prior to my time on the Big Island involved conducting background research regarding the portions of the publication in which I was designated to contribute.
