During this role I was responsible for managing and supporting market access for the majority of Estée Lauder brands in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru. All whilst working towards and maintaining market launch timelines.Further to this, I was also responsible for completing the European notifications of various Estée Lauder Companies brands on the EU Cosmetic Product Notification Portal to fulfil the European Cosmetic Regulation requirements.Also in this role I hosted the biweekly Access to Market calls which allowed our global regulatory teams to regularly touch base and discuss any relevant business.

Working, part time, within the University of Portsmouth employability and enterprise (E&E) department as a 'student changemaker'. This role involved promoting the services and opportunities offered to students by the university and aiming to enhance student engagement. Whilst in this role I managed various projects and attended University events such as the careers fair and volunteering awards. Here I represented the department both to other students as well as outside organisations. Below is some of the research projects I was involved in; - Investigating why female students are less involved in enterprise opportunities than their male counterparts.- Course representatives; what are they and how can the University interact with them to promote their services?- A comparisons of the Employability & Enterprise services offered by the alliance Universities. - An investigation into the expectations and experiences of international students at Portsmouth in relation to the Employability & Enterprise services provided.

Working within a team to ensure international students meet the requirements set out by the home office. This required carrying out an ID check and updating the specialised system used by the university. This was my first time in the role and therefore I had to quickly learn how to use the software required with minimal training. I was required to be courteous and friendly with all the students but also efficient as, at times, there were many students waiting to be seen.

This temporary role at the University required taking calls from potential students and answering queries or processing applications for clearing spaces on a number of University courses. Clearing is a system used by students to submit applications for University courses after they have received their A Level results. This position required the ability to work well under pressure and have an excellent telephone manner in order to assist callers. Due to the variation in call volume, it was necessary for me to be flexible in my working hours. Finally I quickly adapted to using multiple computer systems in a short period of time.

A two month placement using a range of techniques to identify pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria on a variety of different cricket balls and assess the length of time that bacteria can survive on these surfaces. Furthermore I also investigated the growth effects of ESBL producing bacteria, within gut mimicking media alone and with the addition of a bisphosphonate and a bisphosphonate/antibiotic combination.This involved using such techniques as;- PCR and gel electrophoresis - Gram staining- Identification of bacteria through API and biochemical testing- Testing susceptibility to antibiotics through disc diffusion methods

Summer 2012 I volunteered at Basingstoke General hospital in order to gain some experience in the medical field, I was based in the cardiology department and had a number of duties. This placement involved shadowing doctors and other NHS staff during rounds and through out the normal day to day activities. I also observed minor procedures such as angiograms and endoscopies which demanded a professional manner.
