As the Office Assistant, I answered phones and greeted guests, while providing support to both the Marketing/Communications and Technical Services departments. For the MarCom team, I created marketing materials, internal newsletters and flyers, and print advertisements for publication using inDesign, Photshop, and Constant Contact. For the Tech Services team, I processed requests for Certificates of Insurance (COIs), Evidence of Property certificates (EOPs) and Auto ID insurance cards, and assisted with policy renewals.

As a Publicist, I worked closely with authors, agents, editors, and other interested parties to create and execute personalized, dynamic publicity campaigns for several titles each month, designed to maximize the potential of each project. I wrote original press materials, including general press releases, specialized pitches, e-blasts and more, and pitched books and authors to print, radio, broadcast and online media. To augment review and interview coverage, I booked and promoted national author tours at bookstores and other speaking venues. Throughout, I provided regular status updates and support to authors throughout the publication process.Internally, I helped manage Counterpoint/Soft Skull’s online presence, including Twitter, Facebook, and the websites, and represented Counterpoint/Soft Skull at national trade shows (Book Expo America).
