Throughout my time with the Allegheny County, Department of Aging, I assisted in the investigations and interviews regarding allegations of abuse and neglect among older adults with the investigator, Nicole Boxley. In order to ensure safety, I made collateral calls with friends and family to document case notes and record them, maintained the highest level of confidentiality and became a mandated child abuse reporter in Pennsylvania. Additionally, I translated over 20 documents from English to Spanish in order to increase accessibility and reduce the language barrier among older adults facing abuse or neglect.
